The History of Troop & Pack 302

Troop 302 started in 1920 and Pack 302 started in 1967.  Hayes Memorial United Methodist Church is the sponsor of our Pack and Troop.  We were the first group of Boy Scouts in Eagle Bay District to receive a charter, and we are presently the oldest, continuous troop and pack in the district.

Every February we celebrate the birthday of scouting.  This scouting year at our Blue & Gold Banquet we will be celebrating the Troop and Packs 87th year!  This is something that we are very proud of.

The Pack offers many different and fun opportunities to the scout.  Through out the year, we have a Halloween Party, Cake Bake and Auction, Pinewood Derby, Blue & Gold Banquet, Christmas party, fundraisers, awards, skits, den meetings, Bike Rodeo, family camp outs and Cub Day Camp in the summer. 

The Troop offers Troop meetings, Court of Honor, Fall & Spring Camporees, Klondike, fundraisers, dinners and Summer Camp.

The Scouts learn responsibility, dedication, respect, learn skills and make friends that last a lifetime.
